  Relationship between time of initial diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction to primary angioplasty on patient’s outcome

  OBJECTIVES: To explore the relationship between time of initial diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction to primary angioplasty on patient’s outcome. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A systematic review of published articles in international databases (CENTRAL, SCOPUS and MEDLINE). A time limited criterion was applied related to the articles publication (articles published between 2012 and 2016). Seventeen articles were found that met the criteria for participation in the review. RESULTS: According to the results, the majority of studies showed that time to treatment (primary angioplasty) was less than 90 minutes from the initial assessment, resulting in better outcomes of patients.
